How much do Turkey teeth cost per tooth?
“Turkey teeth” is not one treatment, so it has no single price. It is a popular name for a bright new smile made in Turkey, and that smile can be built with three quite different restorations, each with its own line on our price list.
| Treatment | Price range (TRY) | Approx. GBP | Approx. EUR | Approx. USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zirconia crown (per tooth) | 5,000–7,000 | £75–£105 | €90–€125 | $100–$140 |
| E.max all-ceramic crown (per tooth) | 8,000–12,000 | £120–£180 | €145–€220 | $160–$240 |
| E.max porcelain veneer / laminate (per tooth) | 12,000–18,000 | £180–£270 | €220–€320 | $240–$360 |
| Teeth whitening (per treatment) | 4,000–10,000 | £60–£150 | €70–€180 | $80–$200 |
| Root canal treatment incl. filling (per tooth) | 4,000–7,000 | £60–£105 | €70–€125 | $80–$140 |
Please note: these ranges come from our clinic price list and are shared to help you plan a budget. They are information, not a quote or an offer. The exact cost can only be set after an examination, any X-rays or scans needed, and a written treatment plan. Our list is in Turkish lira; amounts in pounds, euros and dollars are approximate, converted at the European Central Bank rate of 23 October 2026, and change with the exchange rate.
Whitening and root canal treatment are included because they often decide the total: whitening can reduce the number of teeth that need anything at all, and a root canal is sometimes needed before a crown. For the background on what the term means, see what are Turkey teeth?
Crowns vs veneers: why the price gap exists
A veneer costs more per tooth than a zirconia crown on our list, even though it covers less of the tooth. That surprises many people, but it reflects the work involved rather than the amount of material.
A veneer is a thin shell bonded to the front of a tooth whose shape is mostly kept. It has to be made very precisely, shaded to look natural at a thickness of well under a millimetre, and bonded with a careful, multi-step technique. A zirconia crown is a thicker cap milled to fit over a tooth that has been reduced on every side; it is strong and forgiving to fit, and the preparation is simpler for the clinic.
In other words, crowns can be lower-priced to make and fit, but they cost the patient more tooth. Once enamel is removed all round, the tooth will need a crown for the rest of its life. Our veneers vs crowns article covers the clinical differences.
Why the lowest-looking option is often full crowns on healthy teeth
When a full smile is offered at a very low total, the most common explanation is that every visible tooth is being crowned rather than veneered. Even on our own list, twenty zirconia crowns come out lower than twenty veneers. A low total can therefore be a warning sign rather than good news.
Crowning healthy teeth has costs that do not appear in the first quote:
- Nerve problems. Heavy reduction brings the crown close to the pulp. The dental literature describes a proportion of crowned teeth that later need root canal treatment, which is an extra cost per tooth.
- Gum problems. Crown edges placed under the gum on many teeth at once can irritate the gums if fit or cleaning is not good.
- Replacement for life. Each crown will eventually need replacing, and each replacement removes a little more tooth.
- No way back. A tooth cut down for a crown cannot return to being a natural tooth.
Crowns are the right choice for teeth that are already broken, heavily filled or root-filled. They are not a shortcut for changing the colour or shape of sound teeth.
Turkey teeth cost: worked examples
The table shows how four different plans for the same smile add up when built only from our listed ranges. They are arithmetic examples, not quotes, and they assume nothing else is needed.
| Treatment | Price range (TRY) | Approx. GBP | Approx. EUR | Approx. USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Example: 20 zirconia crowns | 100,000–140,000 | £1,500–£2,100 | €1,800–€2,500 | $2,000–$2,800 |
| Example: 20 E.max crowns | 160,000–240,000 | £2,400–£3,600 | €2,900–€4,400 | $3,200–$4,800 |
| Example: 20 porcelain veneers | 240,000–360,000 | £3,600–£5,400 | €4,400–€6,400 | $4,800–$7,200 |
| Example: 8 upper veneers + whitening of the remaining teeth | 100,000–154,000 | £1,500–£2,310 | €1,830–€2,740 | $2,000–$3,080 |
| Example: 6 veneers + 2 zirconia crowns on root-filled teeth + whitening | 86,000–132,000 | £1,290–£1,980 | €1,570–€2,350 | $1,720–$2,640 |

Notice the first and fourth lines: twenty crowns and eight veneers with whitening fall in a similar range. One treats twenty teeth heavily; the other treats eight teeth lightly and leaves twelve untouched. For many people with healthy teeth, the second kind of plan is the more conservative choice.
Turkey teeth cost vs UK: how to compare fairly
Private cosmetic dentistry in the UK and Ireland is generally more expensive than in Turkey, which is why so many people look abroad. A fair comparison, though, sets one written plan against another for the same teeth and the same treatment, not a Turkish headline price against a UK estimate for something different.
To compare like with like:
- Ask both clinics for a tooth-by-tooth plan naming veneer or crown and the material for each tooth.
- Check the number of teeth. A UK plan for six veneers and a Turkish plan for twenty crowns are not the same treatment.
- Add flights, accommodation, transfers and time off work to the Turkish figure.
- Consider aftercare: who will see you if something chips, and what a return trip would involve.
- Allow for exchange rate movement, since our list is in lira.
Our article on dental work in Turkey vs the UK goes through these points in more detail.
What to compare in a Turkey teeth quote
The most useful document to compare is the written treatment plan, not the total at the bottom. A clear plan should show:
- Each tooth by number, with the treatment and material for that tooth.
- The reason for any crown on a tooth that looks healthy in your photos.
- Treatment needed first: cleaning, fillings, root canals or gum treatment.
- Whether a trial smile is made before any tooth is prepared.
- The number of days in Istanbul, and whether the stay allows a try-in before final fitting.
- What happens after you go home if a crown or veneer chips or comes loose.
A plan that answers these openly is easier to check with a dentist at home. Our guide to choosing a clinic in Turkey lists further questions.
Lowering the total without cutting corners
The safest way to reduce the cost of a new smile is to treat fewer teeth, not to choose more aggressive treatment for the same teeth. Some approaches dentists commonly suggest:
- Whitening first. If colour is the main concern, whitening alone may be enough, or may reduce the number of veneers needed. See teeth whitening Istanbul cost.
- Straightening first. Crooked teeth can sometimes be aligned with clear aligners so that fewer veneers, with less preparation, are needed afterwards.
- Matching the smile line. Veneering only the teeth that show, and whitening the rest.
- Crowns only where needed. Keeping crowns for broken or root-filled teeth.
Your dentist decides which of these is possible after examination and X-rays. Smile design at our clinic is carried out by Dt. Kadri Söylemez, and crown and bridge work by Dt. Osman Cemal Binan.
