Choosing a dental clinic in Istanbul
There are a great many dental clinics in Istanbul, and almost all of them describe themselves in similar terms. We would rather give you reasons you can verify than adjectives. If any of the points below matters to you, ask us about it directly.
1. Your first visit costs nothing
The first examination, the X-ray we take at the clinic and your treatment plan are free. That means you can get a professional opinion on a problem tooth, or on a larger plan suggested elsewhere, without committing money first.
2. A written plan, and no obligation
After the examination you are given the plan in writing: which teeth, which treatment, which material, and the total cost. There are no hidden charges added later. You can leave with it, compare it, or come back months afterwards. Saying no is always an option.
3. Experienced dentists alongside younger colleagues
Two of our dentists have practised for decades: Dt. Osman Cemal Binan for 33 years and Dt. Cemal Özdemir for 25. They work with younger dentists whose training is recent, which gives a useful balance of long clinical judgement and current techniques. All five are named on our dentists page, so you know who will treat you.
4. Several areas of dentistry under one roof
Within one team we cover oral surgery and implants, prosthetic dentistry such as crowns and dentures, smile design, and root canal treatment. In practice this means a plan involving an extraction, an implant and a crown can be handled in the same clinic, with the dentists able to talk to each other about your case rather than referring you across the city.
5. You can talk to us in English
Our team speaks English, and Dt. Osman Cemal Binan speaks advanced English and German, so many patients can discuss the details of treatment with a dentist directly. Being able to ask "why this tooth?" and understand the answer is part of giving informed consent.
6. Help with the practical side of travel
For patients coming from abroad, we arrange airport transfer from Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen and help you find suitable accommodation. You can send photos and X-rays on WhatsApp before booking anything and get a preliminary plan. Our dental tourism planning guide covers the rest of the trip.
7. A seafront location that is easy to reach
The clinic is on Kennedy Avenue in Kazlıçeşme, Zeytinburnu, the coastal road on the European side. The historic centre is about 8 km away and two Marmaray stations, Kazlıçeşme and Zeytinburnu, are close by, which makes appointments easy to combine with time in the city.
8. We will tell you if you do not need a treatment
Some patients arrive asking for a full set of crowns when whitening, bonding or a few veneers would give the look they want with far less loss of tooth. When that is the case, we say so. Preserving healthy enamel is better for you over the long term, even if it means a smaller treatment plan.
Questions to ask any dental clinic in Turkey
Whichever clinic you choose, these questions will tell you a great deal about how it works:
- Who exactly will treat me, and can I read about their training and experience?
- Will you examine me and take X-rays before confirming the plan?
- Can I have the plan and total cost in writing before treatment begins?
- Why do you recommend this treatment for each tooth, and what are the less invasive alternatives?
- How much tooth will be removed, if any?
- Which materials and implant system will you use, and why?
- How many days do I really need, and what happens if healing takes longer?
- What should I do if something feels wrong after I fly home?
- Will I receive copies of my X-rays and a summary of the treatment?
A clinic that answers clearly and does not rush you is usually a good sign. For more, read how to choose a dental clinic in Turkey.
