Before you travel

How do I get a treatment plan before I travel?

Send clear photos of your teeth, any recent X-rays and a short medical history to us on WhatsApp (+90 544 835 52 61) or by email to info@beyazgulus.com, or use our contact page. Our dentists review them and reply with a free preliminary plan and an estimate of how many days you will need in Istanbul.

Can you tell me the cost before I book flights?

We can give you an estimate based on your photos and X-rays, but the final cost depends on what the dentist finds at the examination: the number of teeth, the materials and any extra procedures. You receive the confirmed total in writing at the clinic before treatment starts.

How long do I need to stay in Istanbul?

It depends on the treatment. Veneers usually take about 5–7 days and zirconia crowns 5–10 days, while implants need two trips a few months apart. Our guide on how long to stay for dental work gives more detail.

Do you arrange airport transfers and accommodation?

We arrange airport transfer from Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen for international patients and help you find and book suitable accommodation. Flights and travel insurance are arranged by you.

Do I need special travel insurance?

Many standard travel policies exclude treatment you travel abroad to have. Check the wording with your insurer, tell them the purpose of the trip and consider a policy designed for medical travel if needed.

At the clinic

Is the first examination really free?

Yes. The first examination, the X-ray we take at the clinic and your written treatment plan are all free of charge. You are under no obligation to begin treatment.

Will the dentist speak English?

Our team speaks English, and Dt. Osman Cemal Binan speaks advanced English and German. You can ask questions at every stage, and we encourage you to do so before agreeing to anything.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring your passport, a list of the medicines you take, any previous dental records or X-rays, and a note of the questions you want to ask. If you wear a denture or night guard, bring that too.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday to Saturday, 09:00–19:00. Message us on WhatsApp during these hours for appointments or urgent problems. We do not offer a 24-hour service.

Where exactly is the clinic?

We are at Kazlıçeşme Mah. Kennedy Cad. No:54/EA, Zeytinburnu, on the seafront road of the European side. See how to get here for directions from the airports, Sultanahmet and Taksim.

Treatments

Will you file down all my teeth for crowns?

No, not unless there is a real clinical reason. Where whitening, composite bonding or thin veneers can give the result you want, your dentist will recommend those first. Read our article on Turkey teeth to understand why this matters.

Which treatments do you offer?

Implants including All-on-4 and All-on-6, zirconia and E.max crowns, veneers, smile design, composite bonding, whitening, braces and clear aligners, root canal treatment, wisdom tooth and other extractions, gum treatment, dentures, cleaning and children's dentistry. See all treatments.

Does dental treatment hurt?

Most treatment is done under local anaesthetic, so you should feel pressure rather than pain. Some tenderness after surgery or sensitivity after preparing teeth is normal for a few days and is usually managed with ordinary painkillers. Tell your dentist if you are anxious.

Can I have implants in one trip?

Usually not. Implants normally need two trips: one for placement, then a healing period of about three to six months while the bone bonds with the implant, and a second trip for the final teeth. Your dentist will explain your own timetable.

Can I combine sightseeing with treatment?

Often, yes, especially between appointments for veneers or crowns. After surgery it is better to rest for a day or two, avoid alcohol and strenuous activity, and follow your dentist's advice before planning busy days.

After you return home

When can I fly after dental treatment?

After crowns, veneers or whitening most people can fly the next day. After extractions or implant surgery your dentist may advise waiting longer. Our article on flying after dental treatment explains why.

What if something needs adjusting after I get home?

Send us a message with a photo on WhatsApp and we will advise you. Some issues can be dealt with by a local dentist; others may need a return visit to Istanbul.

Will I get copies of my records?

Ask us before you leave for copies of your X-rays and a summary of the treatment, including the materials used. These help any dentist who sees you later.

How should I look after my new teeth?

Brush twice a day, clean between your teeth daily and see a dentist for regular check-ups. Crowns, veneers and implants rely on healthy gums around them, so cleaning matters as much as with natural teeth.

Can my local dentist look after treatment done in Turkey?

Yes. Routine check-ups and cleaning can be done by any dentist. Bringing your X-rays and treatment summary makes it easier for them to understand what was done.
